Hello

Postby Kowandz » Sun 16 May, 2010 08:05

Hey, what's up. Saw the review on Dresden Files RPG, and wanted to check things out. I'm an avid reader, and a huge fan of any thing Dresden. Next favorite book character is Special Agent Pendergast by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Play X-box, but not huge FPS fan, more RPG, RTS, and platformers. Kowandz420 if any one wants to friend me on X-box live. Really interested in sharing notes for GMing a Dresden files game, going to be my first GM exp. Nice to meet y'all.

Another Dresden fan yay! PLUS an Xbox player!! Welcome on board Kowandz ! :hi:

As I said in my little review I think Dresden Files RPG is a nice game to begin as a GM. Especially if you know well the books already, you'll be able to improvise easily.

For now we have more RPG players in the French part where we do have a dedicated forum, HERE while RPG are still in The Library for now in the English speaking part. But that could change :)

We have here a dice system which allow is to make some rolls of d4, d6, d10, d12, d20 by typing for example [dice]2d10[/dice] which gives:
[dice]0[/dice]

We are just starting to use it here and currently we have 2 RPG going on on TLF, one Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space and one Trail of Cthulhu. I'm worrying about finding too many limitations to my English vocabulary trying to describe RPG scenes but could give it a try, or better find another English speaking GM. Where are you from btw ? :D

I've never heard about "Special Agent Pendergast" and you made me curious about it! :)

Finally, regarding the Xbox part, you'll find all our aliases in this topic which will need to be updated. I'll add your card if you're ok with it. Are you on Xbox Live Gold ?

Don't hesitate to message me directly if you have any question and be welcome to TLF :wtlf:

I'm in Rhode Island, but I lived in Ga for a long time, Atlanta for 5 years. Dr. Who is the greatest TV series ever! The first Pendergast book that I read was called Brimstone, amazing book, also get Still Life with Crows. The books are only slightly supernatural, with an attempt to remain grounded in reality. Thanks for the welcome

Welcome here Kowandz !! :bounce:

You should do a review in the Library section of our forum about those books :D
