Well, I've joined to the forums, but I don't know how to join the game itself.

Also, how do you use the IP and Port address of each server to get into them?

The members of WOR that play Battlefield 1942/BF2 and their mods are playing under the Desert Rats Clan banner (Using "-=7th-DR=-" tags for 1942, "=7DR=" tags for BF2)

Desert Rats Website
Desert Rats Forum

Currently, there are Rats servers for 1942, FH (Forgotten Hope, a mod for 1942, check here - It's very good, adding much more depth and realism to the game) and a server for BF2.

BF2 Ranked server IP is Clan Desert Rats | Ranked | Rackage.com|86.53.238.59:16567
FH 0.7 Server IP is Clan Desert Rats FH | 64 Slot's|86.53.238.111:14567
BF1942 Server IP is Clan Desert Rats 42 | 64 Slot's|86.53.238.112:14567

Teamspeak Server #1 64 slot (The Default Server) 86.53.238.111:8767

Sign up over there on the forums, and introduce yourself as a WOR member interested in playing the game... Then, get yourself on the servers and join in!

There are a few server rules, designed for fair play, such as not entering an enemy uncap (uncappable flag, the ones marked with a red circle on the map), no stealing enemy vehicles from enemy uncaps, no runway strafing (i.e. not bombing enemy planes when they're sat on the enemy runway) and no deliberate teamkilling/wounding...

Many of the Rats players have been playing since the first game was released, and these rules have been put in place to maximise the fun for both teams ;)

FH is the most popular of the 3 games, and well worth a look if you haven't already got it... it's about a 1.8gig download (which can also be downloaded as 3 seperate files, took about 10 hours overnight on my half-meg connection) or you may be able to get someone to burn it to CD for you and post it to you... I have the install files, and could do so if needed :)

Ok, this is to make sure I understand everything...

I've already signed up to the forums, so next I introduce myself as a WOR member looking to play the game...Got that.

I understand the honor code part of the game...full of chivalry, awesome.

Ok, got everything, but where do I download the game from?

Yeah, as DK mentioned, either Battlefield 1942 which you can pick up cheap from your local store or online these days, or Battlefield 2 which is about £20 on the high street in the UK, but you may find it a little cheaper if you shop around online :)

K, I gotta find if a store around here carries it...the only store we have is Wal*Mart, the next town that has anything good is an hour away, and I don't go there but only a few times a year.
